Starting a Local Chaper
We are now looking for people who would be interested in leading a chapter in their
area. If you have ever considered getting involved in a local club now is your chance.
What's in a leader?
A Chapter leader would be in charge of all activities and memberships on their local level.
Chapter leaders will bring in local memberships, collect annual dues, coordinate local
activities, etc. The Chapter leader would also be a part of the International Board. The Chinchilla Club is a not for profit organization so Chapter leaders are not paid. Chapters can be run by teams, it doesn't have to be just one person.
Why The Chinchilla Club?
Wondering why you should join with us instead of starting your own Independent group? We've already done all the hard stuff! We are an established organization with a solid reputation.
We already have members in all 50 states and many other countries making us the largest pet chinchilla organization anywhere. We stand for a great cause and
provide a friendly, family environment.
How does it work?
and will include membership to the International Club and website. All membership fees collected by local groups stay in that local group to fund its activities. The Chapter leaders will form an International Board which will set guidelines for chapter conduct, brainstorm local activity ideas, help new leaders, create printouts and resources for local groups, etc. The Chinchilla Club will advertise heavily for the local Chapters and will create a database on our site listing all Chapters.
What if I already have a club started?
You can intergrate your existing club into our Chapter Groups. You will get added advertising and a Chinchilla Club webpage that can link to your existing site if you have one. All of your current members will receive memberships to the Main Club. All Chapter Groups are welcome to advertise their activities in the club newsletter, calendar, and magazine as well as rotate with other chapter groups for a features spot on the club's main page. Chapter groups also have the ability to print Chinchilla Club Magazine articles for use in local group publications. If you already have a name don't worry. What you name your local groups is entirly up to you. You can use The Chinchilla Club in the name or just use it as a subtitle.
