Do chinchillas blink?

I have had Otis for 3 months, and not once have I seen him blink. Do they even blink? Do they have eyelids? I wasn't so sure when this came over me.

They do blink. Some will hold there eyes open.. when they are scared especially I have seen. They like to stare I think, tho :)

Some also sleep with their eyes open.  This generally doesn't happen when they feel completely comfortable in their surroundings, so you may notice his eyes being closed more the longer you have him.  :)

they blink.
i think that they may also have a nictitating membrane that keeps their eyes moist

I love it when you're talking about them and they wink. Chong does it all the time, I'm sure it's just coincidence but it's so funny. :)
