is it ok to give my chin a bite sized sredded wheat a day and can i give him a raison a day i asked this on one site i wrote into and they said absolutly not but on another they said one a day its confusing so i am asking on here as you get proper answers here thank you ::shrug::

You can give one treat a day, One unfrosted shreeded wheat or one raisin not both in the same day.

Treats are not an essential part of a chinchilla's diet.  One treat a day is MORE than enough.  (Mine are lucky if they get one treat a week!)  Anything other than pellets and hay is considered a treat.  The treat you give should generally be no larger than the size of a raisin, so you certainly wouldn't want to give a shredded wheat square (which is much larger than a raisin) AND a raisin.
