Since Roo is so much fun i talked my boyfriend into getting another one. He*s another standard male. I didn't know what to call him at first but since Roo has plumped up alittle he looks like a grey peekachew. So i*ma call the new guy Peeka..short for peekachew. They're adorable!! i love these guys!

Wow hold up you need to quarantine the new one from the old one for 30 days.  Also they may never get along no matter how hard you try.

Billy is right. You need to have two cages right now and keep them apart. For 30 days (a month) Peeka needs to be away from Roo so that if he happens to be sick (you won't be able to tell right away.. they hide things very well) Roo will not be affected. Once the quarantine time is over with you need to slowly introduce them. Sit their cages beside eachother so they can smell eachother. Then have them introduced outside the cage (Roo may get territorial if you just put him in his cage) and let them play. Once they are ok and are together keep watching them. They might fight and have to live in seperate cages forever. If they get along- they will thank you for giving them a buddy. You gotta take it step by step or it could get very bad.

we got another cage for peeka now. Roo was on one side of the cage & Peeka on the other. i was wondering if there was something that needed to be done. Thanks!! i thought about it after we put peeka in. I told the old boyfriend if he needed time to get to know us, i wondered if it was the same for these little guys. hehe i thought i*d ask without asking.

To late if they have already been in the same room.  Just watch them close, let the new one adjust to its new home.

I'd like to add something about introductions, a friend of mine, J, who's had Chins for years says its a good idea to switch their cages, put Peeka in Roo's and Roo in Peeka's for a half and hour a day and then switch them back... BEFORE introducing them during play time. It gives them a chance to smell eachother without having to get irritated.
I'm excited for you... I've been trying to talk Aaron into another Chin for a while, but he keeps saying no. I think its because Pixel won't have a thing to do with him. O.o lol

My husband had to be sweet talked into another chin. Once I found my Roxxy, I let him know to expect another one. He watched me wait for her for a month and a half. I had her cage all done up just waiting and waiting. He told me I was like an adoptive mother fixing up her nursery for her new baby that she has wanted forever. Right after that my rescue started taking off, and after studying chins for over the past three years, I have decided to breed. We now have six chins with another one coming next month. I catch him in there all the time talking in a baby voice to all of the chins. I put cage cards on all the cages with notes so he can get to know them a little better. It is the cutest thing ever!
