Its really a personal choice. I have had several pairs that I left together forever. Usually the dad is a great father and will help care for the babies. Keep track of the date and if your female has another litter within 4 months you should take dad out then to give her a rest. One breedback won't hurt a healthy female on good feed, but continuous ones will.
Hopefully your pair will be like mine and naturally space out their litters in a more healthy way. You want mom to have some rest between pregnancies.
If you do remove Dad keep his cage close to hers and watch his food intake. Males can become depressed and stop eating when removed from the female.
