Cool well not cool, but I have 2 with out ears.
Coliflowers, premature deliveries. Mom chewed them a little knowing they were not right. Almost like she was trying to straghten the out.A female kit with only part of one lobe.
Her brother has neither.

::silly::Hi Debbie,

    She is beautiful!

    They are still just as sweet and loving with or without the ears or tail.  (2 of mine have 1/2 tails - breach deliveries)

     A lady ask me one time why they did that ... I'd already explained the real reason ... so I came back with "Their momma did not want them adopted out."  She seemed to accept that answer better than the real reason.   :doh:  ::shrug::  rofl

     Damage like that does not interfear with breeding either ... it's an accident, not hereditary.  I have a little one that lost 1/2 her tail and one front arm (to the elbow) due to a breach birth, but she is in breeding and doing great!

     You have to love a fighter!  When they make it through something like that, it makes them stronger.

 ::silly:: Hi Debbie,

   He is cute!  (even without ears)  Kinda makes him unique.  :)

   You gotta love 'em!   ::nod:: And like I said, it shouldn't stop you from breeding him ... he's a handsome fella!

Thanks gals,
They are a great shape, so solid, but small. She has trouble delivering, but he helps produce some cute kits. I'm not sure yet how big they'll get, but have tried him with a couple of nice big gals.
I never notice anything that would make me think they have problems keeping cool though. Nor do the guys with big ears seem cooler than the other on hot days.
Thicker coats seem to be stretched out more when it warm, but I don't see the ears making much difference.
Then my guy with big ears has a thinner coat than these two that have very thick coats and no ears. :doh:
So I don't know if ears make a diff.  :D I'd need a thick coated chin with big ears to judge.
