I am assuming you mean a bath with water.  If this is the case, the answer is most definitely no.  Chinchillas come from a very dry environment, and should not be immersed in water except in some emergency situations.  They can easily get ear or respiratory infections if they get wet.  Your chinchilla should only require a regular dust bath to keep clean.

 ::silly::  Dust baths only!

Were you asking about dust baths or water baths?  Normally a water bath would, as Abby said, be a definite no-no.

 ::think::   Is there a special reason you might want to give your chin a water bath?   ::think::

If so, please, say why.  We can give you some special precautions that would need to be followed, should you have to give your chin a water bath.

PS  What "special chin shampoo" are you referring to, in the poll above?  Do you have the URL to where it is listed/offered for sale?  I'd like to look into this.   ???
