I am not sure what they are or where you can get them but I do know that alot of natural herbal treatment people
(not sure what to call that kind of group?) use rosehips so I would guess that you can get them from any store that sells herbs and such :)

::silly:: Hi ChinPo,

You can get dried rose hips on line at Brisky Pets:  http://www.brisky.com/8/80

Rose hips are great for chinchillas ... a good tasting treat that is good for them.
(Papaya is also)  ::nod::  Both are good for a chinchilla.

To All: Remember food and toys sold for your critters are packaged/sold to be appealing to humans, not to or for your pets.  You are paying for it so they want it to look appealing to you.

Not all things that are marked "for chinchillas" are actually good for chinchillas ... most companies assume that since a chinchilla is in the rodent family, so chinchillas can have any thing other rodents can have ... NOT TRUE ...
Chinchillas are an exotic animal and they have a delicate digestive system!
(unlike mice or rats).
