Tea Tree
« on: July 23, 2006, 01:22:59 PM »

Someone asked if tea tree (oil. mist or cream) can help chins with fungus/ringworm problem, its effectiveness and safety.

Athough I've heard claims about it as a wonder ointment on humans and dogs, but I've doubts about it after reading the articles from Medical Journals that there have been reports on its toxicity in humans and animals esp. cats.   ::confused::

Has anyone tried it on their chins and the results?

;) Hi I don't know about chins but very bad for dogs and cats, I would not try it on chin. If you have ringworm I see a vet or talk to some one knows more about chins, I breed dogs. ::silly:: ::silly::

::silly::Hi Karen,
    I would never put it on a chinchilla without knowing for sure what it would/might do.  I strongly suggest you touch base with your chinchilla's vet.

  Where is the place/URL that someone is talking about this? I'd love to check it out.

Do you think your chin has fungus or ringworm?  Both are very contagious to chinchillas, other animals and humans and needs to be addressed.  A.S.A.P.
