I am freezing in my house I find myself putting my feet on my tower that is on the floor to warm them up and I am tired of being cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so what is the best temp for you chin and also what is the hottest temp a chin can handle?
I am opening my doors to let the heat in.
please help

usually About 75 at the highest, not sure how cold?

As a general rule between 65 and 72 is best. 
Anything over 75 is getting dangerous. 80+ can be lethal in a very short period of time.    
Anything under 50 is getting dangerous in the other direction.   

Rule of thumb ... temperature (F) + humidity must = less than 150.   :-[

The higher the humidity, the lower the tempature must go.  Getting a good dehydrator for the room the chin is in is a good investment.

We keep the house at 68 (F) year round.  It has always been very comfortable and a real relief comming in in the summer when it was hot outside ... but with this heat wave, it is actually making it feel like walking into a refrigerator when we come in from outside.

I agree wtih what JoAnn said.  We keep our chinchilla building between 69-72 in the summber and in the mid 50's in the winter.  In the house we keep our thermostate set at 70 but we have old windows that let in a lot of heat so it stays about 73-74. We try not to let the chins in the house out to run during the warmer hours since its so close to 75.  We like to keep them cool and sleeping.  In the morning and evening when our house is closer to 70 we let them have their play time.

Here on the cooler side of the earth we all like it just a tad colder than that. 
 80+ is lethal to me
My chins rarely see above 65, 70 and their stretched out like minks all over the place.
They do get used to temps some what, but yes too hot or too cold is not good.

I'm on a/the "Rock" hanging off the east coast of Canada out in the Atlantic Ocean.
Newfoundland, the most easterly point of Canada. The cooler side.
Funny out of 6 siblings and 4 step siblings I'm the only one who stayed home.
Even my Mom moved to Florida, with 2 of my sisters whom are now married & raising families there.
The rest are in Washington State, BC, Ottawa, and NS, warmer places. 
I just couldn't take the heat, with these hot flashes

I have lived here in Bakersfield all of my life,But heat is bad I can't take it anymore at 112. So that's why we moving to the coast. All so for the chins.

Hehe... same here... I can't stand anything over 80... anything over 74 is uncomfortable

I originally lived in Portland Maine, on the coast... got spoiled by the temps there ^^

I love the NE states I'm in Pittsburgh PA and would love to drive up through maine and stuff in the fall to see the landscape you got pics from when you lived there is it just like the pics in the magazines?
