Milk carton
« on: July 29, 2009, 04:45:30 PM »

Milk cartons like this one are made out of cardboard.

I know cardboard is generally okay for chins but I just wanted to make sure, because it seems to have some sort of coating on the outside that makes it slick. Is this type of cardboard okay for chins? I have a few empty milk cartons that I washed of course, and I wanted to know if Po could have some.

::silly::  I am not familiar with what they are coated with now so that would be hard to say.

In the past, they were coated with wax ... which I don't think would be a good thing for chins to eat.

Remember .... they will eat/chew anything they can get their little teeth into.

I have a problem giving my little ones things that have ink print on them ... some inks would not be very good for a chinchilla ... or anything else that is living.   ::puke::

I often take boxes that have print on them and peal off that part, then give it to the little ones to play with/in and chew on.   :)
