All chinchillas have different personalities. ::nod::  Where are you getting the chins from?

Are they from the same place?  If not, I would house them separately. You never know. I think you are getting two chins from one place and 1 from another. ( Just guessing)

Over all I wouldn`t house them together, but that`s just me.

It's much easier when they are kits, or adding a kit with one or 2 adult females. But yes females can be housed/caged together. I have had  as many as 5 in the one cage, and 3 that have been together from birth.

::silly::  I've had 4 or 5 females together in large cages also ... if they have not been in breeding (no chance of a pregnancy) and they all get along (no clash of personalities) it works great and they can be good company for each other.  The only problem I have run into (occasionally, but rare) is that they sometimes form a "click"  or group/groups and those that are not in that group are shunned ... not good for the self esteem.

Well my plan is .. I just separated a female into her own cage..she was housed with a male for 4 months.. so pregnancy is something I will have to wait and see.. I'm waiting to hear from my breeder I got 3 of my chins from about a female he has.. if I get her..I plan to house the 2 in their own cages side by side.. maybe within time they will get to know each other.. and they may beable to be housed together ?  I will keep them separate and see how it goes first..and off course make sure the first female isn't pregnant..so they will be kept apart for at least the next 2-3 months..

Any advise will help in this matter.

Thank you
