Bedding- Soft Sorbent
« on: August 12, 2009, 01:43:47 PM »

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone knew if the Soft-Sorbent with Lavender bedding is ok to use in my chinchilla's cage. I know some things with scents are not good for the little guys, but didn't know if this qualified.  ::shrug:: Please let me know! Thanks.  :)

::silly::  The lungs of a chinchilla are very tiny and very sensitive to fumes given off by things containing "odor controllers", cologne, and/or added "scents".   Chinchillas are clean animals and do not need these.

I strongly advise against using anything with an "odor" or "scent" added to it ... not healthy for a chinchilla.

Cedar is all natural, but even it, gives off fumes that can cause a chin to get a respiratory infection and die.
