Emergency Question
« on: December 24, 2006, 09:20:30 PM »

My best friend has a Chin too . She had been let her Brother in law house sit so he could take care of the animals the few days she was going to be gone.

Apparently He is a pot smoker and had Jester out this afternoon while he was smoking his stuff and wasnt paying attention . Jester got into the bag and is believed to have eaten some of it .

He did tell her when she got home and she is totally freaking out and isnt sure if he will be ok . so far he isnt acting any differently and seems fine but it hasnt been all that long since it happened .

Is there any information on what she should do in this case? I told her I would come up here and ask and let her know as soon as anything is posted.

Wow, what a great question.  I guess it all depends on the Chin's actual brain and if it is affected the same way the human brain is?  I suppose only a Vet could even have the faintest answer on this one!  I would be inclined to say the Chin would be fine!

Keep us informed!

Merry Christmas,

::silly::This is one for the books!  WOW!

I have no idea at all ... was it laced with anything or just plain marijuana?

How much did the chin eat?

Did he nap longer than normal?  Become disoriented?  Hyper?  Stumble?

Not trying to be flip-id, but out of curiosity .... did it get the munchies?

It's been a little over 12 hours since your post ... is the little chin OK?

Please let us know what happened.

It is bad that he ate anything, but thank goodnes, it was natural rather than some of the man-made stuff.

I spoke to My friend a few minutes ago and Jester is fine . She isnt totally sure how much he ate and no it was just plain pot . She said that she watched him until about 4 am and he was perfectly fine accept he was lot more lovey dovey and playful than normal last night and this morning but now is sleeping and when she checked on him he was fine.

His poop is fine and he seems fine . They said he ate a big pinch worth . that doesnt seem like much to us but to a little guy that would be alot . However she is pissed that this happened and wont be allowing her brother in law to house sit anymore . cant say i blame her.

::silly::I would be more than just a little miffed at him using pot in my home ... does your friend realize SHE could go to jail if they busted him in her home?  Sounds crazy, but the owner (renter) of a home is/can be held responsible for ANYTHING that happens in their home, even if they are not at home at the time.

How is Jester doing?

You are right on that one Joann.  She is responsible for whomever she has in her home and their behavior.  Glad to heat the little guy (chin) is ok.  I would be absolutely furious and bounce him out on his ear!

He is perfectly fine and shows no ill effects . I honestly didnt know what to say when she told me what happened other than You have got to be kidding He did WHAT? She had no idea He was a pot smoker but well now she knows . All I can say is thank god He told her about it , I will give him that much credit.

No she realizes what could have happened she is a school teacher and has children who thankfully were not there . Thus the reason He will not be house sitting anymore and Her Husband is rather angry at his brother as well .

She was so worried about Jester but it appears that pot in small amounts doesnt hurt them probally because it is all natural but still this should have never happened . She told me to thank you all for your concern and there wont be any more Marijuana related problems . She is just glad her little buddy is ok and I am too.
