transfort question
« on: August 27, 2009, 01:37:04 PM »

I am getting my new baby chin tomorrow and I do not have a transport cage. I was wondering if a cardboard box would be ok...the ride will only be about an hour. Any suggestion??

::silly::  Wal-Mart has some small animal carriers that are very reasonably priced.  A small investment with long term good returns.   :::grins::

A cardboard box with air holes placed in the floor of the car near the air conditioner vent might work if you have no other choice.

Make sure any carrier you use is not placed where the sun will hit it ... that could cause the kit to overheat.

Thanks Jo Ann...I actually decided to purchase a small carrier today. I didn't want to put my chin in jeopardy for any reason, and the carrier was only 22$. I also decided I could use it as an introductory cage, as I will be introducing him to my existing chin  ::chinhappy::
