Dream?
« on: November 05, 2009, 10:11:01 AM »

Quick question for those who might have noticed..
Do chinchillas dream?

Right now its about 8 in the morning and both of my chins are asleep, i am on my laptop just surfing the net and all of a sudden one of my chin barks twice and wakes up for about ten seconds, then she lays back down into her comfy fleece covered tube and goes back to sleep. It was weird but it was so cute :)

::silly::  I believe they can and do.  I've seen to many that make movements or sounds in their sleep.

I think I have one that occasionally sleep walks.  His eyes are wide open and he will be moving around the cage or just standing at the front of the cage.  I think he's looking straight at me, then I touch him and he appears very startled.   ::think::  At first I thought he might be blind, but found out that he is not ... so sleep walking is the only other explanation I can come up with.   ::)
