The Move Went Great!
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:45:34 AM »

Well, thanks for all of your tips on moving.  Mom, Dad, and the babies did really well driving across country.  They were so excited when they were put back in their big cage and played for hours!  The move was really hard on us.  The rental truck was a nightmare and having to drive 14 hours a day over 2 days was very hard but we made it to Charlotte in tact.  We are very happy to be here and getting settled in.  Thanks again to all of you and have a great new year!

I'm so glad the chins did well but I hate your move was hard.  Moving is never fun!  Now that you are down here with us why not come to the Chinchilla Show in Statesville next weekend (Jan 16).  Its only 40 miles from Charlotte.  In fact we are coming to Charlotte Friday night to get a hotel and then driving on in on Sat morning.  It would be a great chance to meet fellow chin lovers here in the south.

OMG!  I would love to come to the show!  Could you send me the information?  I've always wanted to go to one but they rarely had a show in the Denver area.

Yes, the move was really hard.  I have MS and I tend to get tired pretty easy so forcing myself to drive 14 hours straight two days in a row was very difficult.  But, no worse for wear.  I am finally feeling more rested.  My baby chins got their first bath last night.  I wish I had taken some video, it was a hoot!  This batch is so sweet.  I will take some current pictures tonight!

I can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm glad you will be going.  We will have to look for each other and say hello.   Do you think you will enter some chinchillas or just go to watch?

I will just be a spectator at this time.  My chins have kits right now and after that long trip, I'm not going to separate them or put them in a carrier any time soon!

Thanks for the info!  Can't wait to go!
