We have a 1yr old Chin female names Chinchi that we are trying to move with. My husband is in the Navy and we are getting transferred FROM Hawaii to Maryland in 2 Months. The airline we have to fly will Not accept her at all.

I have scoured the web trying to find anyway to bring her with us and am having no luck. I am desperate to find anyway to get her to Maryland. Does anyone have any info or suggestions as to how to get her there? I can't leave her behind she is like one of my kids and just refuse to leave her. Any help will so be greatly appreciated.

Do you have access to a Delta flight? I haven't shipped chinchillas in years but when we did we used Delta Dash.  They would accept them as cargo.  If they still offer the Dash program it was set up for pets flying alone.  They were the last things on the plane before take-off and the first things off the plane at landing.  They are hand delivered and well cared for.

We use WestJet here. Air Canada will only ship them from a breeder with proper papers.

Make sure you ask united, typically they allow you to have them under the seat.  Just make sure to bring a small baggie of food with you :-).  Usually out of hawaii isn't as bad as going in with pets.
