Hello, my chin Merlin is about 2 1/2 years old, and he has one pimple /bump on each ear. They dont seem to bother him so i didnt worry about it but recently we got a female chin a few months old and she doesnt have any. Just wondering if any of your have these pimples

Also when you get a baby chin from the pet shop about how old are they when taken to be sold?

I"m not sure what you mean by pimples on the ear.  Can you take a picture?

There is no way to know what age a pet store chin is.  In theory a chinchilla should be 7 weeks AT LEAST before it is taken from mom.  Then there is no way to know how long after that it goes to the distributor, then how long he has it before it goes to the pet store, then how long the pet store has it before it is sold.  If it all happens in a timely manner you can guess it would be about 3 months at the youngest.  But again that would only be a guess.

is Merlin a pink white? because the "pimples" youre referring to could be freckles. unless they are raised, then you should probably take a picture

if they are raised, they could be just skin tags.. or whatever you call them.. a few of mine have them and at one point i asked my vet.
