Yes weather permitting, most get out in the garden spring and fall.
They will sit on my left shoulder in the car. I drag the leash around my neck and hold it with my right hand on the steering wheel.
They don't move until I stop. I can feel their little heads watching traffic pass.
When I go into a shop I stuff them inside my jacket so they don't leave droppings behind, and then just shake it out when I get outside.
I take them to the feed shop, pet store, and out to visit friends.
They love going to the park too, but it's harder now with the 2 grandkids, so they don't get out as much as they used too.
Maybe the first time they are weary not sure whats going on, but the minute I put them down and they can go they get all excited.
Some get excited as soon as they see the leash. Some will let me know if they are not in the mood too.
I just open a cage show them the leash and see who comes. Oliver was the first cage I open that day.
The next fine day I'll ask again  ;)

Yes Jean I knew it was you  ::highfive::

And you saw the video, did he look stressed to you. He never even stirred when Colby ploppped down beside him LOL

I had no clue you could harness a chin! I thought with their floating ribs I read about...that it wouldn't be safe...he's to cute outdoors. Never would have thought to do something like that. He sure looks like he's enjoyin' his day out.

They do seem to enjoy it, and yes I've gotten a lot of flack over the years about it.
But I still do it and have never ever had an injury or escape. It's been 12 years since I put my first chins on a harness.
Some people say they just couldn't get a harness on their chins????

I think I would try and do it indoors for awhile to make sure I didn't have a houdini. My dog gets out of his harness all the time.  ::) So I think my being a tad OCD...I would do that for a long while before attempting outdoors. I would be to afraid he would escape. But that's just me.

Ours gets out of his all the time.  I’m not brave enough to bring him out doors.

That is very cute. I don't think my chins would hold still long enough to get that on, lol.

Oh believe me I did, have had chins for 12 years now.  ;)
And I'm going to be quite honest, there is not much I can't do with ,my chins. :D NOW!
Just like dogs they can tell when we are not comfy either. And yes the first time is a challenge for both animal and slave.
I started when my first chin was about 3 months in my life. And let me tell you it was the funniest thing to watch. My husband thought I was nuts. :D
Who's arguing  ;D

But we all love it now.
Yes on occasion a foot can get up under the neck strap, and you have to learn how tight is tight enough. With so much fur it looks like your going to choke them. You learn, and the animal learns.

I don't think it's for everyone, or all chins.
