Another question that came up during our first chincilla's short time with us...Each week I dumped the newspaper lining and used woodchip bedding into yet another plastic bag and then into the trashcan. And each week I cringed at the thought of yet another plastic bag going to the dump - and all that mulch I wasn't using. Our yard is too small to handle all the used bedding as mulch. We do have recycling of yard clippings in our area (big trucks come by and empty the cans every other week). Any suggestions for a better way to dispose of the stuff? Do you suppose I could put it with the yard clippings that the city takes, even though its "wet"?
