Well, I make a lot of toys for my birds and recently i've been dying my own parts. Would it be alright for the Chin to Chew and possibly injest Wood dyed with Rubbing Alcohol as the base of the dye?

This is one toy i was planning on giving Mr.Berry boy but i didn't really know if it would be alright for him to chew the sticks i've dyed cause of the Alcohol.



Its All chewable stuff. Wooden beads to seperate the craft sticks and all strung on Paper cord. I also want to use some of this stuff to refill Berry boy's Jolly Ball.

i've heard it can be dangerous, personally i dont 'use it, do you have to use that as the base.. can you just use water?

but i wanted to ask you where you got those spoons, i can't find the ones like that, with the spoon on each end.

oh and make sure its chin safe roping you use on the toys too... [it looks like some type of rope].

no it would not be safe for a chinchilla to injest rubbing alcohal. they also cannot have rope.

   Keep in mind that all the pretty colors are "pleasing to the eye" for humans ... chinchillas could care less. 

Keep everything all natural ... it's safer for the chinchilla! 

Dyes, oils and wax added to natural wood can spell trouble for a chinchilla.

'When in doubt, throw it out.'
