Hey everyone, just thought I'd share the great news with you, seeing as the last time I was on here was to announce some horrifying news (http://www.chinchillaclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,2649.0/topicseen.html).

Well, Goodie delivered her baby successfully yesterday morning, and he is already a fiesty little thing   

He is nursing and is very active but I noticed today there was a long brown string coming out of his anus. Is this normal? He didn't have this yesterday? Just wondering if this is regular "baby poop" or if something is wrong with him?

PS: We named him King Tut lol

as for your question, i'm not really a good one to answer that, i do know that mom has to **clears throat** lick down there to get them to go, but i do not know if its normal to see anything there...

Thanks I'm pretty happy with the way things have been going around here. well, the stringy stuff isn't there anymore..I was so scared that it was pooping out its intestines    But looks like it was baby crap!

Usually moms keeps them pretty clean, but his first droppings can be strange looking. Just keep an eye on him.

Hey everyone, sorry it took so long to reply! I would love to post a picture of the baby, but I can't figure out how to...I'm sure I will one of these days.

The baby is doing wonderful! He's so fat and cute    He'll be 7 weeks old tomorrow and I already have a really good home for him to go to. Goodie turned out to be a fabulous mother, but I think she's ready to say good-bye very soon, as Tut harrasses her non-stop LOL

aaww a picture would be great.. i use photobucket, its free.  you upload pictures there and then take the code and put it in the thread. 

there are other free sites, but since i don't use them, sorry i don't know what they are.

I usually upload them on facebook, and then i same the pic from facebook and its the right size then.
