Chilla sits next to very hot heater? why?
« on: December 29, 2011, 01:17:30 PM »

My chilla, Tango, likes to sit next to a heating pipe in the dining room, its really hot, i cant keep my fingers on it but he sits right against it and seems to liek it. My stepdad said he wouldnt hurt himself so he should be fine. It still worries me because its very hot. is that okay?

If the pipe is hot enough to burn you it is hot enough to burn your chinchilla.  Animals don't always know when there is danger so you may want to block the pipe when he is out playing.
