Stinky cage?
« on: February 10, 2012, 11:12:52 AM »

Is it safe to sprinkle a little baby cornstarch powder on all the bedding in Jose's cage to help eliminate odor?

I'm not sure what to use but I would think corn starch could make it worse since it gives mold and bacteria a medium to grow in. There could be other factors at play like poor ventilation in the room. How often do you change your bedding?

It is a stall deodorizer and freshner for horses. I've heard of it but never used it for my own (horse). As long as it doesn't have a strong smell and you do it lightly under bedding it should be okay
