Chew toys
« on: May 24, 2012, 02:08:37 PM »

I would appreciate a complete list of safe chewing materials. On the small websites directed mainly at chinchillas they sell loose branches. I do not intend to offend any of you store owners, but how am I supposed to know that everything is safe and natural?  ::shrug:: One of the sites posted in the websites sections has very appealing prices, but safety, not price, is my priority when it comes to my precious chinchild.  ;) also, are the following materials acceptable:
Seagrass
Pine
Broom grass
Orchard grass
Cardboard
Thanks!!!!

Yes they are safe.  You don't want your chinchilla eatting large amounts of cardboard bit ingesting some is safe.

Uh oh... He seems to have an insatiable passion for tissues and their boxes. We play a game where he eats it and I grab him away and put him on my knee but he runs back. I'm not sure he loves this game, but he certainly loves his tissues!!!
Is pine ok? And breech?
