Herbs
« on: May 22, 2012, 08:13:46 AM »

Does anyone have a list of fresh and dried herbs, fruit, and vegetables that are acceptable to feed? Please don't post links unless you've fed your chin all of the items on the list.
For those of you who are wondering the same thing, I already know a few special treats: freeze dried raspberries and strawberries- make sure the only ingredients are pure fruit. I found great ones at Trader Joe's. (be careful of the freshness packet inside, make sure its not broken.) I also feed raw cashews and almonds, fresh basil, cubes of applewithout skin, dried apple, etc.
Does anyone know if parsley is ok?
Or lavender? If lavender is fine, is there a place in NYC area where I can buy dried lavender? Or online too, but only if you've used the lavender from that site yourself.
Thanks guys!

NUTS ARE NOT GOOD FOR CHINS! even raw, it has somthing to do with the natural fats/oils in the nut causing a fatty liver because they cant digest it right.
