Help finding ferret/critter nation cage!
« on: June 20, 2012, 04:26:07 AM »

Looking for ferret/critter nation double but thing is shipping costs a ton or the peoples prices are ridiculous or they even don't ship to Calgary Alberta so what I'm here to ask does anyone know any whole sale places? Or even have one for sale! Or know anyone who sells cheap and ships. Used ones are perfectally fine too. I don't want to pay more than 250$.. I'd prefer way lower. Please help me!

I can't answer your question (I don't know) but building a wire cage isn't that difficult. I've done this before. All you need is the right hardware, some good pliers and cutters, and a metal file to round off sharp edges from cutting. Usually you can find all the parts at a hardware store that caters to agriculture. It's not a pretty as a FN cage but it works just as good if you find you can't get what you are looking for.

If you're going to use a used cage, make sure you spray it out first with a small pet disinfectant like natures miracle. Just a tip.

I would bleach or disinfect any used cage then just rinse it with soap and water, I have a ferret nation I bought on Amazon and I don't think the shipping was bad (I didn't buy it)
