Snickerdoodles belly seems to be strong. After the second time changing his food IMMEDIATELY, he has no diahhorea. Is this normal?

How is his poop output? This could be a sign of severe constipation that may need treatment.

I'm thinking when you say strong it means hard. Please clarify that. If your chinchilla has decreased output and the stool appears hard and small compared to normal you may have a problem.

Yea he might be constipated, rub his tummy to see if that helps (don't stop if just gas comes out, rub until poop comes out); constipation is dangerous!

I'm very glad to hear your chinchilla is still alive and well. I was worried since switching food is known to cause serious problems with constipation. I hope you were switching gradually and not abruptly. Until you can determine what this is you probably should feed nothing with sugar in it. If its distention from gas this will make it worse.

If there has been no change in output then I don't know. If you are sure you are feeling something hard inside or seeing distension it's certainly not something to mess with. If you are not sure then it's neither here nor there. Can you describe exactly what you are experiencing? Also are you sure your chinchilla is male?

I am VERY sure he is male. He's a year old so it's not even hard to tell.
He just is fine. We switched the food a month ago abruptly and nothing happened to him.

Sounds good.

If you change food again it is always best practice to mix it slowly over the period of a week or two. Otherwise a sudden change can cause deadly gastroenteritis that can present with bloating and constipation or diarrhea a day or two after the change. If the bacterial cultures in the intestine get disrupted pathogenic bacteria can bloom and cause inflammation of the stomach and bowels. This can cause a chain reaction that is not always reversible and sometimes fatal.
