« on: August 27, 2012, 06:42:13 PM »

Is there a " best" bath dust or are they all pretty much the same?
Thanks

Not all bath dusts are the same. Dust from the Blue Cloud mine is the best and likely the only dust that you should use. Dust no more than twice a week for 15-20 minutes at a time to prevent skin dryness. I think Petsmart sells it so it shouldn't be too hard to come by.

If you aren't showing chinchillas any "dust" will do.  Stay away from chinchilla sand like the one Super Pet makes.  It should be fine like powder.  Blue Cloud, Blue Sparkle, and the KayTee dusts are all great.  SunPet also makes a good dust.  Stay away from anything that is scented.
