Basically, what I was trying to say was that this is a place to go to get other people's experiences and advice as to what they would do, if the chin belonged to them. We are not vets and can not tell you what to do. We are here to share ... not to tell.
Double ditto Jo Ann
I tell folks I'll share all I know, but it's up to you what you do with/for/too your chin.
I've seen to many products state they are OK to use or are even made for chinchillas, then I read the ingredients and it has stuff in it that is not good for chinchillas. (Example: corn wheels ... pet grade corn is not good for chinchillas)
Jo Ann what's the difference between that corn and the corn meal some ranchers use in their supplement.
MCBA News Volume 44 No 4, Formula 2 has yellow corn meal?
Also I just had a couple sleep over chins{summer vacations} and the owner said she found on the net someone who told her nuts were OK. I told her I wouldn't feed them nuts, and won't give them any while they are here, but it's up to her what she feeds them.
We just never stop learning and sharing.
