My Chinchilla is a BRAT
« on: August 03, 2013, 06:53:45 PM »

So my Mosaic F. Chin is a nice word for BRAT.......My Standard Grey recently passed away and they lived together happily. So we decided to get another Standard thinking she would be lonely. My mosaic was with her mom before I received her and went straight in with my Standard with no issues.. Now she's a biting terror and spraying!!! UGH....Any ideas on what I could do for her to get along with the new chinnie???

All suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

She's not being a brat she was just stressed and probably depressed from losing someone she bonded with!! She has not bonded with the other chin and may or may not after some time. I mean, her cagemate/close friend she spent every moment with just passed away so she felt lonely and sad. Chins are pretty smart, and don't just get along with everyone. I would try seperating them and having their cage side by side to get used to each other first.
