« on: June 20, 2016, 07:04:22 PM »

My baby chinchillas one ear kind of just flops around. It isn't perky like the other one.. Could this mean there's a problem? My chinchillas also fought so it could've been bitten or somethin

If it is consistently hanging down and there is no control of the ear by tomorrow you may want to see a vet. I hate to say it but injury is possible. Watch your chinchilla after dark when it is more active. Give a dust bath and watch closely. Also look inside of the ear and compare it to the other one for abnormalities such as swelling or bleeding.

If you need a vet find one that has actually seen chinchillas and has experience with chinchillas specifically otherwise your vet probably isn't worth anything. I have a vet directory if you would like help locating one.

How's your chin's ear doing? Does it look like there's still control?

It could have internal injuries. I would seek a vet

The ear isn't constantly hanging down. Most of the times it is perked up. It also isn't completey floppy it just like hangs down a little bit at specific times.

Then we really cant comment without seeing the chin in person. You are obviously concerned so i would suggest you go to a vet
