Water
« on: September 01, 2016, 06:00:15 PM »

So when i have my chinchilla out in the bathroom, she always goes crazy near the sink. She bites it and squeaks and runs all around. When i turn it on she goes crazy drinking it while its coming out. Then she will just drink it from the sink bottom. Her water is perfectly fine.. in fact i recently got her a new water bottle and make sure its good everyday. I feel like she would love to have a glass water dish in her cage that she can just drink from. Would it be a bad idea to try it?

chinchillas should not have bowls. They are likely to tip them and get wet which increases the risk for skin infections. Tap water isnt the safest for your chin either. They cant handle the chlorine and other additives as well as we do. They should have filtered or bottled water
