Can Chins have hemp seed?

I was recently given some hemp seed for my small pets. I don't want to give my chin the seed if it would be bad for her. She is 15 years old.

No, please do not give your chinchilla any type of seed. Chinchillas cannot process fat which seeds are high in and fatty liver disease and death may ensue.

Thank you. I wanted to make sure before trying it.

Agreed. Seeds are not good for chinchillas. They can subsist entirely on timothy hay plus a good pelleted diet and live very healthy lives.
