No, I know...  It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with inbreeding, but I was wondering if it was a possibility.  Genetic deformities are so difficult, but when you don't know anything about the genetics, you can't even tell if it was that or just a fluke of nature.   ::think::

::silly::Hey Joyce,

     I know you don't want any breeding and I know of the girls background  ::nod:: ... I was just being a smarty.  ::)  I wouldn't even want to attempt breeding her/him/it ... I would be afraid there would be stuff in the way of the birth canal, or that her uterus may not be fully developed/weak and could rupture.   To many possibilities of complications.

     I hope for her sister's sake that she can not develop the outside plumbing like she is developing the inner parts.

 ;) Yep we have a Mr./Mrs. Magoo all in one!  I have actually been calling her "monkey butt"  because it now resembles just that!  It is one big unit, not 2 separate ones like a male chin has.
 :::grins:: I know you were just kidding Jo Ann!  Hey and good point , we have been examining Pussy Willow for the "outside plumbing" like sister Magoo has!  Gosh I am thinking that if it is not there yet that it won't be.  But never say never!

Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that.
There is a human tribe (I forget where) that are born all female and at puberty some grow male sexual organs and become male. It's very rare but I wonder if that could happen to a chinchilla too?  ::)

Wow!!  that is really interesting.  A friend of mine has an Arab gelding/mare that is hermaphroditic.  Thye said he was sterile, so I guess it surprizes me tht Magoo would be fertile. ::shrug::
