Quints to Quads
« on: June 21, 2006, 09:49:44 AM »

::silly:: Giget had 5 kits and 4 survived (lost one at birth).

There's more (movie strips) about them on my website  under Giget's Surprise  ::nod::
Giget is a pink white and the daddy, John-John, is a violet!

::silly:: Thanks for the compliments!

   Once she had the third one, I thought she was finished and went about doing other things ... unfortunately ... I think, if I had been right there when the 4th one was delivered, like I was seconds after the 5th one, the 4th one would have probably lived also. ??? She had it under her trying to keep it warm 'till she had the strength to clean it up, but it was gone before I got there and before she was able to take care of it. :::(((

    It almost seemed like Giget knew I would help on the 5th one (or she was asking for help) ... when she delivered it, she placed it out in front of her for me to see.  I did and then I took it out of the sack, stimulated it, got a little fluid from the lungs and gave it back to her after I got it dry and she was sounding off for her momma.  ::nod::  She immediately became the bully and horded the milk on one side of momma for herself.   ::)  Momma had to feed the other three from one side and let the little white one have a side all her own. rofl

   I've already got 3 pages on them and will keep an on-going thing on them until they are weaned.

Is that a pink white at the top of the bottom picture climbing on top of everyone else?  I just love the pink whites that are marble colored beige and white like that and not solid white!  That would have to be one of my favorite colors!!  ::wub::

::silly::Hi Joyce & Jamie!

Joyce, yes, the light coloring does look like Powder-Puff ... now Powder-Puff no longer looks like that (darker now) ... I am hoping this one will retain the color.

Jamie, I never knew what to call it ... I was saying pink white/beige/violet carrier or because of the marbling white mosaic beige/violet carrier.   Now, you've given me another choice pink white-marbled beige/VC. rofl
No matter, I love it, too. :P

Giget, the mom, is a pink white from Jim Ritterspach and the daddy, John-John is a violet from Lee Musslewhite.

I know what you mean!  A Pink White is still a Pink White even if it has beige spots.  Usually the white color masks the beige but sometimes it will show through.   When I would advertise them on my For-sale Page as Pinkwhite people would get confused because they weren't pure white.  So now I call them Beige White if the beige shows through.  Same color, but it helps people to look twice if they truly want a "traditional" all white Pink White.

::silly::Thanks, Jamie!   At least now, I can list it properly.  ::nod::  I had never had one so distinctive before, or with so much beige showing.   Most were white with small spots of a tinge of beige around the base of the tail and sometimes on the forhead. I have the feeling this one may not be put up for adoption.   rofl

P.S.  Below is a better picture of it that shows what we are talking about.

Wow,
I wonder what it will look like when it is fully grown.  The ones I have had have acted like regular mosaics.  They kept changing colors with some white fading and other white spreading as they grew.

::silly::Don't know ... that's one reason I want to hold on to her.   ::nod:: Is that what happened to those you have had?

      I've had a full grown pink white show beige as he got older (that did not show up early in life).
