Insurance??
« on: April 21, 2007, 07:01:14 PM »

Does anyone have a health insurance policy on your chins?  With all of the health expenses we've endured over the past couple if years I was wondering if any exist that would help chin owners?

Thanks,
Paul

I actually did look into it recently.  But most of the companies I found only covered cats, dogs, and birds.  Also, the companies I did find that would cover chinchillas was going to charge me $12 per month per chinchilla, and I have fifteen of them.  That's exceeds my monthly "chinchilla budget"  :::(((

I second that its just way too expensive for the number of chinchillas I have.  I breed them so I keep acruing more and more as well.  But if you are a single or even two chin owner, then it could be a wonderful idea.  Some of them that I have checked into will actually cover testing for things like malo and some treatments for it as well.

I would look into it a little further if I was interested in it and just make sure you read the fine print to see what it excludes as well ;)
