Hello everyone. I am new here to the forum. My family just added a young 1-2 year old female gray chin to our family. I have done a lot of reading and someday wanted to get a chin, and saw my chance when a local store was selling this gal who has had babies already....they were keeping her in a 20 gallon tank, nothing to climb on, etc.
I have
many different animals and know in general it is not wise to "rescue" animals and that chins from pet stores are not recommended. However, I knew the potentials of what i was doing, and she really appeared healthy, well socialized, and I kept an eye on her at the store for a month before bringing home.
I have been getting to know her, she lets me scratch under her chin and will eventually come out to play so she can explore a bit, and will sit on my shoulder and hand off and on. She really is a joy and I am happy to have her.
here is a pic...in my gallery, but is only one so am posting in the thread
