[TNChinChin]

Okay, a bit of a strange subject, but I was wondering if anyone else's Chins like music?  Chin-Chin seems to love it when I sing to him. ( His favourite one, it seems, is a French song?) He comes right up to the top floor of the cage to look at me when I sing to him  .

So, do your chins like music? If so, have you noticed any kind they seem to prefer?

I think my chinchillas like music.....I don't know!

I was told by Jamie when I purchased my first chinchillas from her that I should play the radio in my chinchilla room.  It gets them used to every day sounds.  I also vacuum my chinchilla room and they just ignore the loud noise. 

I keep the radio on a country music station...played quietly 24/7.

Mine love music and watching TV.
I think they like having us humans around.

I think so! In fact, I just gave ChinChin a treat.. funniest thing-

He dropped it, so I bent down to look for it with his cage door open, all of the sudden, he jumps and sits on top of my head.  I'm just glad he didn't have to go to the bathroom!

And a random update: He likes watching Animal planet.

My chins love watching t.v. too....I will bring one out to the living room and sit them on a cage pull out tray (for bathroom reasons) and they will sit and eat some hay and enjoy some DOG the bounty hunter with me hahaha....chins like music....it is said by some breeders and some research that chins mated more productivly when there was the soft sound of classical music playing in the back ground, so I always play it and I think they might be right...but just a theory try it for yourself.....

Cheech isn't interested in TV, she loves the ambient music of computer games and once we were listening to some Metallica a little louder than we really should have been and I looker over to her and she was sleeping soundly.

Chong loves cartoons or anything with bright moving colours.

Mine all like music and television.  Unfortunately, they don't all like the same thing!     So I rotate what channel I leave their television on and play different types of music while I clean, trying to make everyone happy at least part of the time.

I just remembered, Cheech hates techno music. If we play anything like that she goes crazy and runs around her cage. Hehe.
Because we're both out during the day at work they get a nice quiet sleep, then there is usually some sort of music going on in the evenings. We have the room set up so my boyfriend can play computer games while they're out and because we have a wireless controller there are no wires they can get to at all. They used to be a little scared with the noises but now they hop onto the bed to watch him.

Thank goodness my chin Ande is not the only couch potato! He cannot wait for his stick at night so he can enjoy his "chinnie popcorn" while watching tv with us! He gets very upset if the movie starts before he has his nibbly!
