I thought Violet would have her kits before Paige did nope, and now I know why. Poor thing had four kits in there. I missed the first one. T-16 (m 45 grams white violet), was breech, Mom tried to get him out. She bit some of his tail off and bit foot, it was broken. Right after he was out she must have delivered T-17 (m 37 grams dark ebony). As soon as found T-16 I tried to save him but it was to late, he still had the sack over his head. So felt her tummy to see if she any left in there and she did. A minute or so later She delivered T-18 (m 39 grams looks like a light ebony). Violet was to tired to clean him so I had to. I thought she was done she cleaned her cage, well I just thought that she was cleaning her self, nope she had another one. T-19 (m 38 grams white violet). Again Violet was to tired to clean the kit so I had too. Mom and babies are now resting and are doing great. I will get some PICS later after they had some time together. Oh Violet is a light ebony v/c & Dad Fivel is white violet e/c.

Wow...Summer you have had a busy morning (or should I say Violet)! Poor thing...she must be worn out! Glad to hear that you were there to help ::nod:: ...but sorry to hear about your first born little one :'( The sorrows of a loss....it never gets easy!
Take care of Mom and Babies....looking forward to pictures! :::grins::

Sorry to hear about T-16. We can't wait to see pics. We love white violets

Sorry about losing one. Sounds like both you and mama had your hands full. Cant wait for the pictures ::nod::
-
::silly:: You might think about some good supplements for the mom. If you need to give the little ones extra feedings, make sure you feed the largest and allow the smallest to get the mom's natural chinchilla milk ... better for it than most supplements you could give them. ::nod::

I have had a hard time with these kits! The two ebony just did not want grow. Well they are finally getting bigger! I had to foster out two of the kits to two different mom's. Along with some supplements.
