I have been very fortunate when it comes to my female chins. They have all been friendly towards me. I got a new standard female today. I put her in her cage and decided to give her some time to take in her surroundings. I went in the room to check on her, and she was bouncing around the cage, appearing to be having a great time. She was standing at the door of the cage looking at me (the same way my others do when they want a treat) and I thought she was wanting a treat. I went to say hello and that's when it happened...I got sprayed directly in my eyes. I stood there a bit stunned at first and then immediately ran to get some baby wipes. It was bound to happen eventually. I have thoroughly washed my eyes out, but is there anything I should do to prevent an infection in my eye, or should I be okay. (Ewww, and I think I got a bit in my mouth, because I have a gross taste I cannot get rid of).

Update: Well...even though I flushed my eyes out and took a shower, I woke up this morning with a mild case of pink eye in one eye. I have surely learned my lesson with that little girl.

Lol ya I know what your feeling. I have learned to shower after visiting my chins in the evening instead of after I shower. Sometimes if I catch a couple of my girls off guard if they were sleeping or grouchy cuz their prego Random sprays hit me. I would get so mad after I showered and that happened lol! rofl
