Title: Tomato?????
Post by: Sillychinchilly on January 11, 2008, 05:42:19 PM
I came home from work today (about five minutes ago) to a very guilty looking mother...
I asked her what was wrong and she told me, very sheepishly, that she knew she wasn't supposed to, but she had given Pixel a very small piece of Tomato. I asked her how small and she said a quarter of a cherry (or grape) tomato. I'm upset, but I know she's going through a hard time right now. She said Pixel was barking and she felt bad, so she gave her the piece.

I'm worried about Pixel... Should I be?

Pixel should be OK.  I would keep an eye on her poo.  If you have some acidophilus handy I would give her some.

I don't, but where would I find it, for future reference (or so me being a paranoid mom can run out and buy some right this instant)?

One of my chinnies just love tomatoes...  :blush2:
I give him some and, well, he looks fine  ::)

You can find acidophilus capsules at Walmart or Drug Stores.

Tomatoes are very watery, and can create diarrhea. Keep some bite size shredded wheats on hand. They will usually clear it up.

Ah one of Pixel's favorite treats is shredded wheat. No problem having it on hand there. :)
