It's me again!! I'm going to learn things yet! When you post a topic or reply to one sometimes it is nice to be able to change letters & colors, etc. I have tried changing them, but they don't stay to what I have selected. What is the procedure for doing this? I know in my e-mail,when you want to this, you need to type something, then highlight it, then choose what you want, then backspace & get rid of the highlighted word & what you have chosen will stay when you begin to type. Can someone help me with this?? :D JANE

Hi Jane,
Its tough to do it when you type in the click reply box at the bottom of each page. However when you start a topic or if you click the reply button you are taken to a screen that has buttons above the typing box for Bold and italic and dropdown menus for Font, size, and color. When you select one such as color you will see a weird code appear in the box where you type. it will look something like this:(color=purple)(/color)
(color=purple) starts the purple color so you want to start typing there. (/color) ends the purple color. So if you type:
(color=purple) Hello (/color) you get:
Hello
Actually I had to change the code a bit so it would show up in the forum as actual code. In real code all of the ( and ) would really be [ and ]

Well, here goes. Right now it is black. Don't know if it will change on preview or when I actually post it. Should I be seeing it now as I type? Sure doesn't look Navy, but I'll play with it some more. Thanks--JANE

::highfive::Well, it looked Navy after I posted it, so I guess that is when the color shows up. All those choices look confusing, but I'll work some more on it. Thanks again--JANE

:doh:Not sure why my high five didn't come up, though. :::((( Maybe cause I need to hit save at the bottom? ::highfive:: Never mind everyone. Sometimes I am my own comedy show!! Thanks to you all.

Hello again--I've gotten around to trying again on this letter thing. I think I understand the color, but how do you get the font face, bold, italicized, etc. to stay? I guess what I want to know is how do you use color & bold, etc. together? Thanks for all your help.
