Title: chew toys
Post by: Hoppinchins on December 13, 2008, 12:07:40 PM
I have two baby chins, snowie and Pogo. I got them some new chew toys, but I wasn't sure if they good toys for them. I got them mineral chews that are fruit flavored. It says tha its for chins and trims and cleans their teeth. I got a ball that is made from natural things. The ball is made from wood. And the it has two ends. Kinds of like a tug of war toy. And I got another ball that is made from all natural vegetable material and the center is soiled wood.

I had trouble placing pictures of the toys so I made an album where I have pictures of them.

Thanks for you input.

What kind of wood and natural products are they?

Lots of chin toys at pet stores, aren't that chin safe.

I'm not sure what natural materials there are. The one just says from natural vegetable. And i don't have the package from the other toy. So i'm not sure what kind of wood it is.

I went to petsmart today and I sow a cool chew toy. Its a couch that they can sit or hide under and it said its safe for chins. I wasn't to make sure it was really safe for them befor I bought it. It said its made from fresh alalfa and golden honey. I looked on the back and these are other things that is in it : pine wood shavings, cassava starch, sodium alignate, potassium sorbate, prophonic acid.

I only want the best for my chins!  ::silly::

I would check to see if any of the members on the forum make toys.  They would be very chinchilla safe.  Almost anything you get from the pet store is bad, it says it is for chinchillas but is usually junk!

rofl rofl

I found the bird toys work, Bogart likes the bells, he makes them ring all the time,so he has a few. They little round balls to chew on, plus his cuddle bones. So, he seems to be happy with it all.

::silly::  Snowy & Pogo are cute!   How old are they?   Are they male or female?

If you will post the name of the company and what the wood chew toy is called, I will try to look it up.

In the mean time I'll try to post the pictures for you.

Note:   What I could find on two of them:

Crispy Catchers

Crispy Catchers are one home run of a treat. Your pet will love to nibble on the dried veggie outside, and then get some real chewing exercise with the wooden center. Lots of fun textures that little critters just love to chew, keeping those pearly whites in peak condition.
You might want to try to find out what veggies ... especially after reading the "Keeping those pearly whites in peak condition."
