Hi there Minttu , welcome to the club.
Awesome chins, I just love Sue, Stella & Lily.... ::kiss99::... and others LOL I haven't seen one yet I couldn't love to pieces.
So what's the term "African Violet" mean?
Anyone & everyone??????? I've not heard that one before. ::think::
Nice to meet you and your furballs.
So how long have you been breeding?
What's up with co -owning, how's that work?
How old is your oldest chinchilla?

::silly:: Welcome to the Chinchilla Club Forum ... always good to see new faces!
The term African Violet is based in the origin of the mutated violet color chinchilla.
The first violet chinchillas came from Africa, hence all violet chinchillas are actually "African Violets".
It makes them "sound more exotic" using that term. :::grins::

Thanks! :::grins::
African violet = normal violet. We use that term in Finland. We have also hetero ebony, dark ebony and black ebony. I`m not sure what terms you use about ebonies? :)
Firt baby borned about four years ago. Now is borned 15 litters. (A-O)
My oldest chinchilla Cle`o is over six years old now.
Hmm.. about co-ownig. When I want to use some chinchilla to breed and I haven`t space at home, I will give her/him to go-owner. The owner doesn`t pay for the chinchillaand I can use her/him 1-3 times to my breeding :). Then chinchilla is totally owner`s own. So both will profit.
Sorry about my bad english! :blush2:

Your English is great, just me learning new terms. I love meeting chin people from all over the world, and learning from them.

ooh and it does sound so exotic, I love it.
