Does anyone know if Chins can eat Asparagus...I wanted to cook some and thought about adding it as a treat for my two little ones.
Thanks!

I have no clue. Sorry. Do you know if they can eat bananas?
-
Chins love bananas! (and they are OK to eat)
-
No fresh fruits or veggies...period! You can give dried fruits, though.
-
i don't know if this is for every "green veg" or just some, but i always heard that the greens are gassy..
-
yes that's what I would think.Chins can't do gas.
I have said mine have nibbled dandelion but that's it a nibble in the yard. I'd just move them along if they got to interested.
I have tried mine with fresh fruit now and then, they never eat it.
I have always found if it goes in wet It comes out wet.
I know Jo Ann has tried, but you know her, it's a very rare treat.

They like banana peels :-)

WHat they may like and what is good for them are very different. No fruits or veggies here and I have seen someones chinchillas get very sick (all of them) after being given fresh foods as treats

So true Star. ::nod::
There was a thread a little while ago were someone gave one meat!! Yes he ate it but it killed him.
I have tried fresh apple & banana. They love banana yogurt.
I stick with tried and true. Dried fruit & cereal, and sunflower seeds on occasion.
Jo Ann was worry about the chemicals in dried fruit, but what I buy seems to have nothing but dried fruit. ::shrug::

mine hate, anything that is fresh. The look at me like, umm my feet are going to get slimy. That ended that when they were babies! They absolutely hate cardboard :2funny:
