Hi everyone! I just joined and wanted to introduce myself, I am Melissa and I have 2 cute chins and in 3 weeks I will be getting my 3rd.  I have Trixie who is a Standard and I have Peach a violet saphire and the newest one is a medium ebony and I am having such a hard time trying to find a name for her and would love to hear any suggestions!! Thanks all!!

Welcome Melissa!  We are glad to have you here.  Congrats on your new addition coming soon.  It sounds like you have caught the chinchilla bug like the rest of us.  I'm no good at naming so I will leave that to others, but we would love to see pictures of your chins if you are able to upload some!

You can click on Photo Gallery in the top menu and create a virtual photo album there.  There are directions on the top of the Photo Gallery page.

i usually say they are like lays chips, you can't have just one..... ;)

A few more pics!

Trixie (Standard) was born on October 6th 2008 and she hates chinchillas, she has no idea that she is one!!

Peach (Violet Saph) was born on January 5th 2009 (which is the day that we bought Trixie!) she loves everything including her new lil friend that we will be getting soon, they have playdates every Monday to help them bond.

They are beautiful! I can tell you got them from a great breeder.  I can't wait to see pictures of your new one.  Just be sure to keep an eye on those plastic cage accessories.  Some chinchillas are great about not chewing them, but if your chinchillas decide to chew them you'll want to remove them right away.  Plastic can't be digested and instead will cause a fatal blockage.  No need to worry right now through.  I can see they haven't been chewing them so far.  :)

This is the new one, I think I am going to name her Lulu.
