Title: What is 270 degrees pine hinge mean?
Post by: Hoppinchins on June 10, 2010, 09:19:47 AM
I'm thinking of buying a closet and turning it into a cage. I think i'm going to buy this one and i was wondering if anyone knew what 270 degrees pine hinge means? I didn;t know if it ment the wood was pine, but either way i'm guessing its not safe for the chins to chew because its treated, its white wood.

I don't know what it means but you can line the inside with melamine board or sheet metal to keep the chinchilla away from the wood.

when at a lumber yard, a ' white wood ' means it is an untreated board.

Sounds to me like a European hinge on the door.

White wood is any number of light woods including birch, gum wood and yes could even be pine. I would ask, though they may not know. It could just come in as white wood. It's any cheap soft type of wood.
