Title: paper towels and chinchillas?

So i clean my little buddy's cage out with a paper towel in the morning, its soooo much easier, and he has developed a liking to them and will chase my hand around until i give him a piece. What I'm wondering is are they safe or should i keep them far away from him?

It really isn't a good idea to give him a peice I would keep them away
